ASTANA – Kazakhstan’s planned deployment to Afghanistan, which aroused an angry message from the Taliban, will number four troops if it occurs, EurasiaNet reported May 24.
The agreement between Kazakhstan and the coalition calls for four servicemen to work at coalition headquarters in Kabul, Foreign Ministry spokesman Askar Abdrakhmanov said May 23, according to Xinhua. They will rotate every six months.
The four will include two military analysts, one epidemiologist and one logistician, Abdrakhmanov said, according to EurasiaNet.
The deployment still requires approval by the upper chamber of parliament and the coalition, despite some reports that the entire parliament had ratified it.
