OSCE deploys Kyrgyz election mission

BISHKEK -- The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) opened its observation mission for the October 10 parliamentary elections, it said September 7 in a statement.
The mission includes 17 Bishkek-based members and 22 long-term observers. It also plans to request 300 short-term observers from OSCE member states immediately before October 10.
