Kazakhstan, Russia to develop Imashevsky gas field

ATYRAU OBLAST, Kazakhstan -- Kazakhstan and Russia have signed a pact to jointly explore and study the Imashevsky gas field, Voice of Russia reported September 7.
Russia's Astrakhan Oblast and Kazakhstan's Atyrau Oblast share the field, which has an estimated 128.7 billion cubic metres of gas. It will be the first gas field that the two countries jointly develop.
