Aisam Qureshi in US Open tennis semi-final

ISLAMABAD – Pakistani tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi became the first-ever Pakistani to reach the semi-finals of the mixed doubles at the US Open in New York September 6.
Qureshi and partner Kveta Peschke of the Czech Republic defeated Gisela Dulko (Argentina) and Pablo Cuevas (Uruguay) 3-6, 6-2, 10-4 in the quarter-finals.
Qureshi and Peschke were to play Anna-Lena Groenefeld (Germany) and Mark Knowles (the Bahamas) late September 7.
