ISLAMABAD – A slowdown in international aid for Pakistani flood victims hurt UN relief work during the last ten days, Manuel Bessler, head of the UN’s Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs, said September 2.
The aid flow has almost come to a standstill since August 23, rising to $291m from $274m since then, he said in a statement.
At least 8m survivors are in dire need of humanitarian assistance, he said.
