PESHAWAR – Flooding from torrential rains killed at least 150 people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the tribal areas, news media reported July 29.
As rivers flooded, they washed away streets and part of a dam, and damaged electricity transmission lines. Hundreds of thousands are stranded and rescue workers are trying to reach out to remote areas, Dawn reported.
Flash floods and building collapses due to heavy rains killed at least 48 in Swat, one of the worst-hit areas.
