DUSHANBE -- The Uzbek delay of Tajik-bound railway freight cars has caught more than 300 cars bound for coalition forces in Afghanistan, Tajik railway officials told news media May 26.
The cars mostly contain aviation fuel, said Vladimir Soblakov, first deputy director of the Tajik Railway.
Tajikistan accuses its neighbour of withholding freight to hamper construction of the Rogun dam, which Uzbekistan has called a threat to its water supply and the environment.
