BEIJING – China plans to develop a network of high-speed rail lines across Russia and 16 countries of South and Central Asia to connect it with Europe, gzt.ru reported March 11.
One route is to pass through Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran and Turkey on its way to Germany.
Rail industry watchers expect the trains to have an average speed of 320km/hr, which will allow two days’ travel from China to London. They expect completion of construction in 2020.
