Law enacted to punish harassment of women in workplaces

ISLAMABAD -- President Asif Ali Zardari March 9 signed the Protection Against Harassment of Women at Workplace Bill, 2010 into law, news media reported March 10.
The law compels all organisations, governmental or nongovernmental, to set up inquiry committees to probe complaints and give their findings to the authority concerned. Punishments range from a censure, dismissal or an unspecified fine.
