Indonesian police kill suspected Bali bombing planner

JAKARTA, Indonesia – The man believed to have planned the 2002 Bali bombings that killed 202 people has been killed by police, Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono announced March 10.
According to Indonesian media, Dulmatin — also known as Joko Pitoyo — was killed in a shootout with police in Pamulang, Banten province March 9. He was one of Indonesia's most wanted terrorists, who had reportedly been trained by al Qaeda in Afghanistan.
