5 girl students and teacher killed in hostel fire

RAWALPINDI -- Five girl students and a teacher burnt to death while five others suffered serious injuries in a fire at a girls’ hostel in Rawalpindi Cantonment March 8, news media reported.
According to The Nation, the fire started in a room on the third floor of the hostel and engulfed the entire floor. Forty students were in the hostel at the time, the newspaper added. The cause of the fire was not known.
