PESHAWAR -- More than 1,660 of 2,254 industrial units have shut down in the North West Frontier Province (NWFP) because of terrorism, The Nation reported March 9.
The number of workers in the industrial sector has declined from 84,000 to 40,000 during the last year, the newspaper reported.
The NWFP is the province suffering most from terrorism, because of its proximity to the tribal areas.
