2 Pakistani cricketers banned for 1 year

ISLAMABAD -- The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has suspended two senior players, Rana Naveed-ul-Hasan and Shoaib Malik, for a year for violating discipline during the national team’s last visit to Australia, Aaj News reported March 9.
According to the TV station, the PCB penalised the two players on the recommendation of the Inquiry Committee. Malik, a former team captain, was also fined Rs. 2m (US $23,637). The PCB also fined Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi and Kamran Akmal for lesser violations related to the trip.
