17 suspected militants killed in Kohat Frontier Region

KOHAT -- At least 17 suspected militants were killed, and one soldier was injured during an operation by security agencies against suspected militants in Pastawana, Kohat district, The News reported February 27.
According to the newspaper, the police, Frontier Constabulary and the Frontier Corps, jointly launched a drive against the group in the semi-tribal Frontier Regions of Peshawar and Kohat districts beginning February 25.
A curfew was imposed in the two semi-tribal areas during the operations, the newspaper added.
